All I Want For Christmas…

is peace.  I believe that Christmas, no matter what anyone’s individual beliefs, is about reaching out to your fellow man.  This is the time that we all need to look at our lives, and understand that no matter the circumstances, there is always someone that we can help.  Doesn’t matter if we have what we want, it matters if we have what we need…..

Have a roof over your head?

Have food on your table?

Have people that care for you?

Then life isn’t so bad, is it?  Please, remember those, that for any reason what so ever, are not as lucky as we are.   And then remember them in February, March, April and the rest of the year, because the need is still there.

Beautifully said. We do have to remember that needs do not go away with the season of Christmas.

Cheers, my interesting blogger compatriot. We may have different tastes in ‘friends’ but I respect your blogging. Nice post. My family are now asleep. I decided to take some time for me.

What opens your eyes, spending time in a homeless shelter this time of year. I have done some volunteering at a shelter downtown, it’s an eye opener, especially when kids are concerned. Man, if I ever was blessed to win the lotto or have a windfall, because it would take a lot of cash, I’d try to establish a children’s place and refuge for homeless kids. The ones we have now in the area are insufficient.

Been sitting here in my warm house tonight thinking over the past weeks and the kids who have no real mailing address, who face that stigma and try to go to school and act like all is OK. Times get tough for everyone, but man it’s toughest for the kids trying to grow up in conditions such as these in the shelters.

Best wishes; thank you for your hospitality and letting me speak my mind here.

Lovely sentiments…This is the time of year when we should be thankful for what we have. Faith is a large part of life, once a person is without it, they soon realize how much they missed it.

Since Christmas 2007 has passed…then I’ll say Happy New Year! I have hope, that with this 2008 New Year, that all of you will enjoy life as it was meant to be. Without hate and jealously towards one another. Life is too short to harm others for no reason. Naturally my wish has nothing to do with this positive blog, but directed toward the other’s. Best wishes!
