Color Me Confused
It has been so so long since I gave him a second thought…
I said he wasn’t recording right now. Never said he has never recorded in fact he did some before Grease.
he’s not in the studio right now and the climate isn’t changing. Not at all. A news article is a news article. Hope it works out for him. But remember I’m not the one who has been waiting for a new CD or a tour.
You truly must believe that I “hate” Taylor. Couldn’t be further from the truth. I’m glad he’s supposedly gonna get that CD out early next year.
. I hope it works out for him and he does some damn fine music, but I’m gonna believe it when and if I see it.
I mean look at the extreme lengths he went to to cover up last years “scandal”
No one is bashing Taylor. We are stating our opinions.
Maybe it’s just me. Maybe the sun went to my head. It’s hard to believe that the same person makes these statements.

My late night entertainment but I can’t even figure out what the hell they are talking about? What is SPH anyway? Those folks have been kicked off everything haven’t they? You would think Morph would figure out theres a reason for that.
Whats cracking me up is the person they are listening to for that all important inside info.
Did you know that now “hawking” your CD on a national tour is like selling cds out of your trunk?

Henry, SPH stands for Soul Patrol Home. There were individual folders for each contestant at American Idol dot com, but then before the next season started, they were merged into a Season 5 folder. Some Taylor fans didn’t want to share space with Chris fans, Kat fans etc., that’s when that site was created.

But I have heard stories.
Theres one story in paticular that has always interested me, about someone who liked to pretend to be two different people and talk to themselves. That must have been “unusual”.
JerseyIrish, I think they know, they just don’t want to admit it and then they always hope they can convince some weak minded person that they are right. Knocking this deal really looks stupid, don’t think theres ever been anything quite like it and I can’t imagine how badly Taylor was wanted on tour to make a deal like it.
Now they are worried about damageing the “integrity of Grease” by adding a song. But up until yesterday Grease didn’t have any integrity according to them. Dimwits.
Some of the most creative entertainment minds that exist are in musical theater. I think they can manage it quite well without the help of blog posters.
I saw in my Google alerts some dumb thing by DAH’s alter ego. Thats getting pretty sad.

This is a pretty creative marketing solution, working a deal to get paid for promoting your own album rather than shelling out big bucks to someone else. Sounds like a mutually beneficial relationship, the Grease producers must have been pretty happy with the summer run.

Henry, Guess you are right admitting that Taylor knows what he is doing wouldn’t be keeping it real in their minds. This deal he has made he will profit from it without costing him anything, how in anybodies mind can that be wrong, it is a win win for both Taylor and the folks at Grease. I don’t understand how they can make this a negative, but they have, doom and gloom always.

Why negative things are more real than positive ones is anyones guess but whatever.
I stayed home from work because I had an upset stomach, took a nap, got up and did some reading. I am drawn to train wrecks, I try to reform but its hopeless I believe.

I skimmed over there for a moment and found it boring. I didn’t know what was going on so I stopped reading. But on the other hand, I really wonder why everyone here giving them so much attention? Making note of it is one thing but this is overboard. Why even care what they write over there? I would understand if they post that crap on this blog, but why can’t we let them do whatever they want over there in peace and not read it? They have a right to have a blog, opinions, they have a right to talk in circles over there too, they have a right to be stupid or smart or whatever. Have you seen Esmabrownhair’s new blog? A lot of crap over there too. But it’s their right.
I guess the one good thing about that place is they diverse opinions are welcome. The rest I could do without. But giving them so much attention is something I will never understand.

YASM, my blog from the beginning has been about what’s happening on other blogs and on other boards. This blog came about because I wasn’t allowed to post anything on the mfoya blog. What I really don’t get is the on-again, off-again privacy of the board. Are you private for members only, or are do you go public when you want to bash either the performer or the performer’s fans? The “now you see it, now you don’t” behavior seems to me to be asking for people to pay attention to you. And I’m all about making people happy…I’m a giver!

Hi everyone. Read your comments and agree there is too much fan war going on there the past 24hrs. Just when I think I figured out who is who, someone begins to go by a different name. Things are going well for Tay and that makes me happy. I think he loves the control and being a business man. He quit Passing Thru when he was making $1500 a week to start his own band so he could be the big boss. I love him singing Big Boss man.

Henry, What ever in the world would give you the idea you are not welcomed there, I give you alot of credit when you do go over and try to make some sense of what they say, I on the other hand would not leave a comment for me it is just not worth it. My views and those that post there are comepletely different. I believe Taylor as myself have a right to make our own life choices I always welcome comments from others but the path I take is mine, just as the path he takes is his. We only are responsible for our own choices no one elses. I think if people would just accept that maybe things would be better.

Henry, I like it when you go over there. I’ve come up with only six Tay fans who post there and that includes Spin and myself. There are a few others who are supposedly fans, but you know they just don’t care anymore and nothing will work out for him, nobody knows who he is anymore, he is not the star of Grease and I’ll believe it when I see it. Think I covered the main themes. Then there are the Daughtry fans who hang there but don’t talk about him and the ones who are non fans but like to hang out there because they have friends. Yet For whatever reasons I still prefer it to the new brownhairedgirl blog. So it is a GOOD THING to have choices in life and where to talk about Taylor. Also If you notice Morphs group don’t go around slandering people and cutting and pasting, you gotta give em that. Asses as I’ve stated before I like this blog.

Asses, I’ve noticed the morph blog does allow you or anyone else’s opinions and they don’t even seem to be moderated. It’s a far cry from the mfoya blog. The mfoya blog didn’t seem to care about anyone’s opinions. Guess that’s why I don’t see the point of commenting on everything these orphan posters say over here when you can say it to them over there. At least that would be a discussion instead of a bashfest.
I agree Rosie (with most everything you say too) they are not cutting and pasting and trying to pick fights. I don’t think they are going out of their way to attack people. They are stating their sometimes warped opinions on their own blog. I guess I see nothing wrong with that. The name calling is done on both sides and that’s a given.

Yall, Folks that have tried to post over there pro Taylor have been told to leave they don’t want them there. If you read the threads everytime Henry posted they told her not to come back how is that all opinions accepted. If they really want different opinions when folks post they should be civil and that just doesn’t happen. I would love to see all sides come to a common ground but I think too many harsh words have been spoken to heal the wounds. Just my opinion, folks are gonna leave comments where they feel most comfortable. Like Asses said her blog was created becuase her comments were not allowed on mfoya, they only wanted negative Taylor comments over there.

Dah, does not get me or like me and I find her simple minded at best. Jersey, I know I’ll create some enemies but for the life of me I can not approve in anyway the new bloggers and you are a part of that, vindictiveness and I believe out right libel of a person they never met. Being mean, narrow minded or vindictive is wrong. Being hateful towards anyone online who posts any opinion of Mr. Hicks songs, and or choices and talent is so weird to me. But to try to wreck someones income, business and the person with false assumptions, accusations and to harp and harp and harp, about someone who holds a different opinion about a singer is just sick.

I have only read there a couple of times, not my cup of tea, because I don’t think it serves much purpose to go over the same ground again and again and again. If I have someting to say, I pick my spots , say it and move on at least for the time being.
But you said you believed it to be out right libel of someone they have never met. First you don’t know and neither do I for sure who has met who. Many people on these blogs and boards have met. Second, you are defending someone that you do not know and have never met, so don’t be so sure they are guilty of libeling anyone.
I agree that the harping over and over serves no purpose and is not the best way of doing things. But don’t assume that they are wrong in their accusations because you just might not be right about that.

henry8, I just do not get anyone getting all bent out of shape over any celeb, or any fan of that celeb. Why is anyone making an accusation about money, or motive of any fan or non-fan of Tay? Do they have some real inside proof of fraud about a person or non profit or charity? If they do then they should take that proof to the proper place, instead of going on and on in a stupid blog. From everything I’ve read they just seem to have a major problem with anyone who speaks in less than reverant tone about Mr. Hicks. Surely, you and I can agree that is nutty. They claim someone who they believe does not in their opinion come up to their pro Taylor praise is using him and his name to make a profit. But Henri it goes way beyond that, as in claims it was not an official Grease Harp, and blogged warning about a named opportunist and how they are just looking out for the unsavy fans. This crap in my opinion, goes far and above any fan wars or name calling. To me it is creepy that a few people are attempting to put this crap out there, with no proof and the in the next breath talk about love and harmony and good guys and bad guys in a musicians fan base. I feel sorry for those they attack and I feel sorry for Taylor should he happen, in a very bored moment stumble upon it. Henry, you are correct. I have never met any of the people. I just know that no one should judge anyone based on what they think of Taylor Hicks. Also I find it so creepy to read someone saying there has to be more to someones story or confession and to state repeatedly they have no idea why someone would make such a confession. This is just a feeling that washes over me when I read that blog.

As far as any blog that is talking about whom I think you are talking about…she is old news and new news. Since her arrival, she has dissed Taylor, his girlfriend, his music, his management, his fans, his promotions, his choices, well, the list goes on…except that she has always joined in with trolls/chrolls and haters. Taylor needs to do another CD because I really did not like his CD after AI and did not think it was good. *I am putting this mildly*
OK…that in and of itself…does not seem harmful as this is her first comment before she goes on a rampage with her clan. What she could have said, since the fansite was a TAYLOR HICKS fansite would have been more appropriate like this:
I think I will enjoy Taylor’s next CD better, knowing that he had to get it out in a matter of a few short weeks. I look forward to the next one.
BUT..instead, she would continue with…I HAVE EVERY RIGHT not to like his CD. She would repeat this over and over and over and others were offended. The moderators on SOME fansites actually joined in with her. When others that were positive spoke their minds about how they loved his CD that when they went to hear him live, the CD came alive and even though he did not have much time to prepare for it…he did great. He is a great songwriter and performer with a wonderful future.
Her rants and raves were aimed at causing major disturbances…and intended to TROLL the fansites. It was obvious. Fights would break out…and HER posts would stay up…and those defending Taylor had their posts deleted. THEN, when she would be LOOSING because those of us that knew that we had to be careful in what we said to counter her abusive posts…and not get deleted by a mod that was not a Taylor Hicks fan but rather a bitch…would then come on and throw her weight around and either delete the thread, warn of deleting the thread…warn of banning those that took up for Taylor…or just shut down the thread/close it.
This was not the way it was when I first joined the fansites…especially one. It was PRO Taylor and we were told to go after the trolls by the administration…they joined in and also had private messages that plenty came to ME…and we were allowed to bash them. Things changed. Bad things happened to those boards that are now, going down the tubes or are all but gone.
This woman, also had a business, if you want to call it that…where the inspiration was all about Taylor Hicks. WHY in the hell would anyone want to cut Taylor’s music down when that was what she based her website on? OH…best part…she would turn around and say…I just love Taylor’s music…like a psychopath. Dual personalities. ALSO…there were issues of her honesty WAY WAY back. Read Idolstalker website about the Soul Patrol Convention. You will see that KOPS, a fantastic charity, refused to work with her. The spokesperson for them came on the Idolstalker and openly said that. Of course, the person in question was pissed off. She threatens suits all the time. The FACT is…when you have a business or charity or both, people have a right to voice their opinions good or bad. What the hell do you think the BBB is about? Why do you think there are actual websites where one can actually write complete complaints and name names and say what they want about ANY person in business? Because that is their RIGHT to do so.
Allowing someone, who has already admitted to having a record…to be doing charitable work LOL…and then her admitting that she was STALKING and got in trouble for it…her own words…and BREAKING AND ENTERING AND STEALING? Her own words…do you really think that people should not know? Do you really think that she should be around children? Going to schools? If so? Then I friggin give up. I won’t believe that anyone could agree that it is suitable. If you knew what I know, you would know that the stalking is not over. However, I wish not to discuss what I do know, or at least…not yet. Maybe not to a board, blog or fansite. That is MY perogative. No one has the right to exclude opinions of someone that has openly admitted what several of us believed to be true in the first place. If you had seen the pms and emails from her to fans…you would be shocked…of course, some people just don’t get it. If that is the case…then I have nothing further to discuss with you.

I have seen that phase many times at the orphans site and its silly.
I did not say that I always approve of the methods , I simply said you can not be sure of the facts.
Frankly for me, I am not and do not want to be the police for Taylors fandom. He is a big boy, he IS aware IMO and he can handle it.

I also love that when we go to his fansites and btw…love Tapps site…because it is positive…we should not be pounced on or ridiculed for being positive and feeling the way we do. That has been their biggest complaint. Like we think he does no wrong. He is human…but, gosh, what a human speciman he is. I like the fact that he can go read if he so chooses…and be inspired and when people have GOOD ideas for him…great, maybe he will listen…but the bashing that was prevelant…was inappropriate. CBB–did anyone listen to Taylor on the radio sports show he was on.Thursday afternoon out of Birmingham, people he knows. It was long and all about Auburn football. Taylor came on about 20 minutes in and he hadn’t said 3 words when the f word snuck out. It was so funny. The commentator said he held the land, speed record for getting dumped from the show. They didn’t dump him but they laughed at him. The show was long, and he was there and talked some , mostly about football and some about his cd and Grease. The show was good, I learned a lot about Auburn football. Very interesting and the commentators were funny. Charles Barkley called in. Hes a nut. I enjoyed it.

Henry, I haven’t heard that (SEND ME THE LINK, WOMAN!) but if it’s the radio station I’m thinking of, they have what is called a “dump button”. It puts an eight second delay between what the person behind the mic says, and what you hear on the radio. If a cuss word slips (it was actually installed because a former well-known state coach didn’t know the difference between “Saturday Night” words and “Sunday Morning” words), you can press a button and it “dumps” those eight seconds (in effect, going from eight seconds behind on TiVo to live). That may be what they meant by “dumped”.
As far as the site that never got an interview, if it’s the one I’m thinking of, it’s because (and you’ll all want to sit down for this) the webmaster never asked for an interview. Why? (get ready, here it comes) She expected Taylor to call her when he had free time and give her an interview. (pause for you to stop laughing) Just outta the blue. Call her. So she could interview him. I guess he was also supposed to pull her phone number out of his ass. I’ll take “Self Important Bullshit” for $400, Alex.

Rosie, You are right I am new to posting like your self. I read for a long time before I started to leave comments. I think the difference over there with you is that you came with no history. There was nothing they knew about you to throw back at you. But I see as time goes on the comments are getting snarkier to you and now you say you have had words with DAH, you now have a history and I don’t think it will be long before you become a target. That is just my opinion.
I came into all of this because of Taylor’s voice and style caught my attention, I hadn’t heard anyone as passionate about music like him in a long, long time. I was immediatley hooked on his soulful sound and presentation of the songs, all very original.
I agree with Henry and CBB Taylor is a grown man knows the direction he wants to go and that is the path he will take. Everyone is entitled to their opinions but the bottom line the choices are his and only his. Either you accept his choices or move on, compaining he isn’t doing what someone wants just causes turmoil, maybe that is just what some want.
I know for myself I will continue to leave comments where people see as I do not where my opinion would not be accepted. You really seem genuine with your thoughts on Taylor and his career, for that I have much respect for you, you are not afraid to speak what you feel.

I will look for the link again. Apparently what I heard was not the whole show. Taylor was having a hamburger and chocolate malt from Hamburger Heaven I think they called it. You probably know the place. Said he hadn’t had one in three years and he was reallllly enjoying it.

Please don’t take this personally CBB, but how is it possible to judge someone, to know what motivates them, when you don’t know anything other than what has been said on a few blogs. To presume someone whom you do not know to be a shyster and a playa isn’t fair. I don’t know the history, I don’t care who said and did what. But no one is perfect. Just don’t think it’s worth fighting over anymore.

How do you get arrested for stalking for a first offense? Isn’t that something that needs several past instances?
That’s been the glaring hole in the story that’s bothered me, and I don’t think anyone has brought it up yet. (Apologies if someone did.)

Tapp, I thought the same thing geez she only took a few albums I wouldn’t think that would give jail time for a first offense, but I don’t know all the laws. Maybe the breaking and entering played into. I know here where I live someone was accused of stalking/harassing Borough employees first offense she was given a very stern warning and the judge told her if he saw her back again she could face jail time. She paid a fine and that was it. I think there probably more to the story maybe it wasn’t a first offense.

Tapp I don’t know much about law. It seems to me someone would have to atleast have a restraining order against them before any charges could be made for stalking. I think breaking and entering, petty theft, but not stalking. I don’t get it. Stealing a photo album doesn’t seem like something that would end in jail time. It’s all very interesting.

jerseyirish, I know some over there get snarky with. At the end of the No news is good news blog, someone said I and others who thought Tay wanted out of Arista were delusional, too stupid for words. I just pick my battles and saw no need to respond. Some repeatedly say AI got Tay the grease role and he is paid little money for it and is not the star. Some things to me are just not worth arguing about. When they are fighting as they did last night and are doing now, I try to inject a little humor or talk about Tay looking hot. You will note there is much more bashing over there now that he had a bar video, a birthday, a CD date, and singing from the CD news on tour, all within the same week. It was too much good news for many of them to handle gracefully. Dah refuses to believe I just go by rosie and I see she is out and about using the name “the real rosie” and perhaps again stealing rosie. It all just makes me laugh.

To me it does not matter about the details of an arrest of someone I do not know or to what degree she is a Taylor fan. She said she attended an event last weekend and they gave 100 at risk kids harmonicas and taught them how to play a song. That is a good thing. The main thing is I don’t judge people based on if think they are as good a fan of Hicks as I am. I don’t get all bent out of shape over posters who say negative things about him. I did some math. About 5oo people post about Taylor. The Brooks Atkinson holds 1047 people and on average lets say it was 90% attendance during Tays 12 week run. He missed about 6 or 7 performances. So roughly about 84,000 saw him in Grease. His applause was huge but lets say only 10% bought tickets to see Tay. While I think that 10% is way too low, that still comes to 8400 people. Tay can do the math as in CD sales and tour attendence and come to the same conclusion I have that bloggers and posters have very little significance.

Rosie, Glad you try to inject humor, they seem to be fighting amongst themselves, that is sometthing I don’t see here or at Chill’s everyone is respectful of each other doesn’t that say something? The arguing that sometimes goes on is when someone tries to start trouble with posters. I agree that they can’t handle all this good news from Taylor, he is on a roll and its gonna keep rolling for him and all the predictions have been so very wrong. Admit that the inside info wasn’t on don’t keep putting the guy down. I’ll bet if any of them do go to see him they will expect him to be respectful of them yet they show him none. Maybe I read too much into it but what goes on over there just doesn’t sit well with me.

Aren’t you glad we weren’t around back when. All my real life girlfriends say I am so easy going but everyone has their limits. I think if I were some of them I’d just drop out of the game.

She owns Morph and Morph knows it. Morph is now claiming that “someone” is giving out her password. I will give you three guesses as to who is doing that and the first two don’t count. Karma is a bitch, afterall!! Morph is now coddling her and saying she has been treated unfairly. Apparently, Morph has never actually read her long whiney posts. There is always a bash or two in everyone of em. But, who can really blame Morph for skimming. 🙂
Btw, she does not have an attorney. An attorney would laugh in her face. What is she going to do? Sue someone for saying she was banned from a board? When they were all fighting Morph like me knows none of the players or history and can’t stand all the name calling back and forth. Tapp, you asked the question about IF someone was caught stealing, would that be jail time and also about stalking? It is my understanding that NO, stealing something petty, like a “book” wouldn’t do it, but probably a cease and desist / stalking warrant – as in being convicted of that offense before? Sounds like someone had been arrested for stalking before the “book” was stolen, that’s serious. Some call it a felony, that’s on the persons record so they can’t even get a job. Maybe Cbb will see this and respond, she understands the law far better than I.
As for all the negative people who habitate on the blog in question? (Orphans). Well, having been a member of almost every TH fansite on the web, I’ve had experience with the person known there as DAH. Her screen names on TH blogs and fansites would suggest she’s a TH fan, she is NOT. Two Mods and one owner (fansite) told me how many screen names she used on TH fansites and who she was. They also pointed out that she owned about 4 anti-Taylor Hicks blogs, really nasty negative stuff. She’s well known on the AI message board, of which I’ve never been part of. So, I would say that any serious fan of Taylors would stay the hell away from THAT. Those on that blog who are kissing up to her were named here on this thread. Making a living off the use of the name of Taylor Hicks, while kissing the ass of this DAH, seems to be totally stupid. Why? When everyone will see what you’ve written and who you hang out with and in fact, endorce? LMAO. Like in, Hey, buy my product while I bash it all over the internet? Makes no sense to me whatsoever. If someone was using ME as their inspiration and MY formal name to make a living, all the while raking me over the coals and kissing the butts of known TH bashers? I would say, goodbye and good luck, get lost.

My bad, I could be more clear. When I said I did not want to be the police for Taylors fandom, I meant I was not into trying to expose people who may be doing less than ethical things. I figure thats the business of Taylors people. They’re not idiots.

And I think you would have to look back a ways to see me defending Taylor. People used to annoy me when they would say really dumb things about something he was doing, but I seldom bother anymore except to correct a totally wrong fact. I’m just not into arguing with idiots anymore.
But yes, I will jump on some occasionally, its my nature to defend anyone againist unfair remarks. Not just Taylor.
The latest was that asinine remark about not caring if someone bashed Taylor because they had never bashed that person personally. Thats a bit like saying I don’t care if my next door neighbor beats his wife as long as he doesn’t come over and beat me.
Also if someone says they don’t like something Taylor is doing and I say I do and say why I do, I don’t see that as defending him, its just expressing my opinion of whatever it is hes doing. I admit, although I might like one thing he does more than another, he has yet to do anything that I didn’t enjoy watching. Thats just the way it is. Hes an entertainer I very much enjoy. Must I look for things to dislike in order to be “real”?

I am happy for her…and he is a living doll, a real man, sensitive and so compatable. She is a chatty little thing…and he is mellow and calming. Good combo. CBB, Congratulations on your daughters engagement, that is such an exciting time in your life planning your future with your soul mate, lots of love and happiness for them. It is not always easy to find that special someone that will last a lifetime. I was lucky met my hubby, before the first date told my Mom he would be her son-in-law I just knew he was the one for me. We are together 28 years, we celebrate our 24th wedding anniversary in Feb 09. We are getting older but what bought us together still keeps us together all these years later.

I agree Spin, being real and looking for things to dislike are two different things. One of the reasons that site confuses me is because it seems like many there go out of their way to look for things to dislike and thats not being real IMO.
I also get the feeling that just enjoying Taylor is not considered “cool” so we have to avoid that at all costs.
Not sure I saw your post on the time frame and not going to look right now, I have to get out of here.But I think T is probably in or headed to France right now for pre-production. Not sure exactly what that is , I’m assuming its just to introduce the producer to the music and yourself. Talking and planning. But I don’t really know. Probably be there till late Oct. then rehearsals start and I guess a quick trip to LA for the Halloween party. Actual production will have to be fit in around the Grease schedule. He said on that sports show that he was getting ready to “clock in” for the next 10 months. Sounds like it.

I am a Taylor Hicks fan and have been for a LONG time. Unlike you, I have been a member of fan-sites and THHQ. I do enjoy the friends I’ve made through this association. I don’t enjoy people who USE Taylor Hicks name as a way to make money and win so call friends? Then, they go on blogs and bash the living hell out of him? Nope, that’s when I DO speak up, as I would for anyone I respect and admire.
Whatever you may think of one or another blog and what I might say on them, is not important to me personally. I post where I want and I enjoy it. Everyone whose seem my messages knows one thing about me, I am a fan of Taylor’s and I DO enjoy following his career and yes, I contribute to it, in every way. IF you don’t like that, sorry, that’s your problem. 🙂

Rosie, the Auburn thing wasn’t an interview, just a regular sports show that Taylor was on. I enjoyed the whole show and would have found it interesting even if Taylor wasn’t there. I’m glad Taylor called my attention to it. Crazy things going on in Auburn football. And the hosts of that show are quite good. Taylor just added to it and it cracked me up that he didn’t get out a full sentence before they had to “dump” him. 🙂
Charles Barkley called in and he is a hoot. It was a fun show. I think there might be a download somewhere of just Taylors parts.

You like basketball? I love just about ALL sports. Being a GA Tech fan, my basketball tickets were right near the floor, close to the net..When Barkley played with Auburn, GT played them and he was damned good, no joke, GT won though. Jordon was a TarHeel and I’d seen him many many times at GT vs NC games and in the ACC tourneys, he was something else. Odd though, he got MUCH better when he went pro, if that’s possible? He did. 🙂 John Salley, the GT center played that year, he has his own show I think on TV, he was pro for quite some time, along with Mark Price and endless others. It’s fun having seen these super stars in college games and watch their climb to the pros.

Jeanni, I’ve never posted on the BB and I do belong to headquarters. I only post on open blogs and have not joined any boards. I began posting at orphans only about a month before I posted here. I had read over here and at Chills since about May. The orphans sight was harder to find in the blog. I was reading and first posting at Sonny’s Willpens and Right Hicks Save and in response to articles about Tay. You will not find one negative thing I have ever posted about Taylor. In fact idletard.com cut and pasted a few of loving Tay comments. There is nothing odd about me. I never said I don’t like you Jeanni, I don’t know you. I realize you are offended because I stated my opinion about certain matters that I think should be left alone and are private. As I understand this blog was begun to make fun of the opposing side a little over a year ago. Reading backwards over all that CL versus fake GF stuff was educational. I vaguely knew about it at the time. Do you relize I have Tay fans in my immediate family that still do not know a think about that nonsense. I believe Caroline was on the beach and that she was his only GF. Are you aware Morph does not allow it to be brought up and does not like posters bringing up the past or bashing anyone? Are you aware she does not cut and paste and sticks to her own blog? It does not bother me when I read someone over there put Taylor down or have a much more pessimistic outlook on his career. There are other besides myself who try to and do profess how great he is as a singer, song writer, musician, performer, actor, entertainer and hunk on that very same blog. Maybe I like the challenge. I don’t have a secret agenda and I’m not odd. You do all realize without that blog, this making fun of blog would not exists. I don’t know anyone over there anymore or less than I know those over here. Just don’t see why some people have a problem with me saying positive Tay speak whereever I please. I bet a lot of the posters from a year ago moved on and that there are other new posters over there besides me. I just try to be respectful and avoid name calling. Jeanni, I hoped that helped to clear thing up a bit. (I see spelling mistakes)

Missed your second message to me. Whatever and wherever you decide to post messages is up to you, just like it would be for anyone. However, there is always a price to pay if a person decides to post on a blog that traditionally has multiple and negative comments about Taylor Hicks. It does for me, that’s my personal opinion because I find it totally unneccesary and inappropriate for purported fans of Taylor’s to bash him publicly, it makes them appear to be cranky trolls. No one is perfect, Taylor isn’t and I don’t expect him to be, but when fans write multiple negative and hurtful remarks about Taylor all the while they CLAIM to be fans? Sounds like BS to me.
As for other matters which should be private and left alone? If a person posts in writing, a message on a blog or board, then its a quote FROM them. If they don’t want it discussed all over the Internet, then they shouldn’t write it on a VERY public place like the internet. Information which IS private and personal and was not posted by said person but by a second party, is an invasion of privacy and is against the law, as in terrorist internet stalking…that is, without that persons permission nor authorization. Blogs that have an agenda are guilty of just that, I know from personal experience. That’s my opinion. 🙂

Neither jeanni nor myself have anything to explain to you. Your opinions are confusing to me sometimes and maybe “the other rosie” posts here too. That could explain it. But, it really seems odd…and I used the same word…”ODD”…that jeanni did…that you are so concerned with what WE write about. Seems to be your main focus. Many have stated their opinions and are in total agreeance with us. I am not scratching my head though…I get the fixation.

Taylor has always been a lover of sports and I think he really enjoys his time on the air, even with the slip ups…GUY TALK…but, also enjoys playing sports so much. He is a man’s man. jeanni used to call into a radio station here in Atlanta as a regular guest…the men were ready. They always wanted her opinions. It was funny, the head coaches on some college teams knew her quite well. They even asked her to teach the women classes in football. It is very hard to stump her. She actually knew a hell of alot more than some of the men, it was like castrating them…hahahaha…LOVED IT…and that is her forte…College Football. We always had season tickets and damnation…it was fun. I love actually BEING there…however, watching on TV is great too but then you miss the tail gaiting. GULP GULP…MUNCH MUNCH…PARTY PARTY~! 🙂 Then, alot of screaming and loosing my voice. Oh hell, it’s worth it!

Spin, I’m giving up trying to explain to CBB and Jeanni, that I am a big Tay fan or why I have posted at Morphs or even who I am. As you know when I was brand new to this stuff, Dah/Bertha and the rest bothered me. They do not anymore. It is just fun and games to them and best to just ignore it. There is a lot of juvenile stuff that goes on and it is still my opinion that none of it in anyway touches Taylor. He pays attention to bottom line sales. He most likely pays attention to what is written in news articles and perhaps even what Simon says. I just get the feeling he notices how many attend his concerts and how many went to see him in Grease. I’m not stupid. He probably reads his fan mail. He may on occasion check in on some blogs or even read his myspace. I’m just a fan. I’m not out to make the naysayers stop or chastise them. I’m not ever going to choose his worst fan or best fan or assume what is his favorite blog. I don’t know him. I just like him as a singer performer and entertainer. I enjoyed him on AI and I enjoy him now.

Yes henry8, some people take Taylor’s choices WAY too seriously. But even worse some people take their professional fandom WAY too seriously. I am so tired of the rabid ones screaming “I am a fan of Taylor Hicks! I shall the defend the man at all costs! I shall condemn and harass all who disagree with anything he does! I shall call them trolls and haters and I will put an end to them and justice will be served!” This type of fanatic behavior is just so insane to me. There are some people who make their living off Taylor Hicks, while insulting him on blogs and yep, fan sites. I find that pretty disgusting and I would feel that way about anyone who did that. I don’t like liars and bashers. I sure don’t like people who use hundreds of screen names and post multiple messages on boards, blogs and wherever TH fans post, in order to stir it up and there are those who do it! I’ve had to deal with them myself unfortunately, having never done anything to them. All those people over there where you post (Orphans) I don’t know them with exception of maybe one or two, that’s saying I don’t know hardly any of them and I don’t care to know them, talk about depressing? YIKES.
You do what you feel like doing, its a free country. I’ll never change and have no intention of changing. I’ve purposely stayed away from all that BS, because I don’t like it. As for talking about THINGS? Yes, I write messages on topics of interest, just like you do. If people write it, it’s gonna be quoted someplace, you can depend on it. It might seem that way, but I doubt that will ever happen. Taylor is a strong personality and if he survived all the crap on MFOYA, he can survive anything. All these people who are bickering with one another have reasons of their own. Reading this DAH’s blogs and reading her messages on TH fan sites pretty much started a war of words and very dangerous stuff. I wasn’t involved in that, had never heard of it or her till a Mod told me who she was pretending to be, freaking crazy..And heck no, I don’t wsanna be around that either.
Its a shame it happens, but it does. Being a fan and enjoying Taylor is the fun part, all this BS is not fun at all, too bad its thrown in the faces of his fans and even daily on their own turf. I know if this DAH put her efforts into who she’s really a fan of, the SP would be far better off, its a shame.

Jeanni, that would not make any sense to do. Who in this little on-line world is doing that in your opinion? Certainly not Bluzkat, she’s running a simple kid’s charity that passes out harmonicas with a brief lesson, hardly a money making endeavor. There’s that gal, Claudia, she tried to start the magazine of the same name as Hicks’ record company; she’s now working on another, “Neo-Blue” or something like that, haven’t looked it up.
Message boards don’t generate much income, you’ve got to have a ton of hits to make anything off of them. So that leaves me confused who is bashing Taylor and making a livelihood from his name?

Its just my opinion but I can’t see that anyone in the online community has made any big bucks off Taylor. To tell you the truth I don’t even have a problem with someone making a few dollars with an idea connected to a celebrity but of course if big dollars are in play the celebrity should be getting something also.
But just because no ones had great success doesn’t mean they didn’t have some hopes. Its also barely possible there might be a little more to some people than first meets the eye. A year ago I was pretty much right where you are with my thoughts but sometimes its not really money people are after.
I thought Tapps question was an interesting one. I wonder about those things too. But then, I have never been one to just accept whatever ridiculous thing I am told by a storyteller.

So you won’t think I’m being defensive (which I’m not at all)… I’m not gonna name names here (as you did) or go into the details… or go(even though Henry said I would, ha, now Henry 🙂 Know this will be repeated on certain blogs out there in the world of the internet, as I wrote to Rosie, if a person writes it on the Internet, chances are it’ll be quoted and probably taken out of context.
Don’t blame you for being curious though, I was at one time till I was surrounded by it and saw it all the time. What you mentioned is not as simple as you stated it. Not gonna say any more about it, but it’s true. I will say that IF certain people decide that they want to base their “job” around a personality such as Taylor Hicks, then they sure as hell need to stop bad mouthing everything he does on blogs where these messages can be seen and read by fans of Taylors. They also need to stop with their agenda’s in view of TH fans, they need to stop with the tales they tell and what they “know”..cause that simply makes them look like what they are. Being in business myself, it can be a very delicate balance between the owner of said business and it’s clients..deceptive behavior doesn’t work, its very disturbing. I was blown over by the participation on the boards, the projects, the whatever, there IS great participation and yeah, actual jobs! I say this because just above you have repeated conversations I’ve had with Bluz and over on your other blog You have copied me conversing with Moonbat/aka Bluz. For example to distract from the fighting among the trolls a few days ago I started yaking about Tay being hot. I began by saying I think a guy who plays the harp is sexy. Bluz responded that so and so was a great harp player that Tay looked up to him. She did not say anything negative. If I was not upset and she was responding to me, why should it be your business and bother you. You must cut and paste everything that goes on over there. I am not obsessed with you and your sister. It is you two who are obssesed with bluz. I’ve hardly posted with moonbat/bluz yet conversation I’ve had with her ends up on that other blog of your and now over here. Anyone can see she is not a big Tay fan, so what. There are probably people in Alabama who don’t know who Tay is and some who did know probably have forgotten him. Contrary to what you think you know? I’m rarely ever embarrassed over anything, thats due to the fact that I don’t DO anything to cause embarrassment. Cbb is not me dear, we are separate people and I see no message from her to you? I’ve never claimed to have not read Orphans, I do get google alerts, I do have friends who make me aware that my personal and provate life was being invaded by people on Orphans…so yes, I get lots of transcripts through email, LOL. These were for other reasons which I won’t explain to you. It stated that with all the blogs out there…it does not seem to be the topic of conversation as to whom owns or operates those blogs…other than when fatkat tried to say that I was Chill. I hardly knew Chill then…and remained in her spam jail about that time. It was a nasty hole of a place and the company was rather disturbing. Glad I got bailed out. HEE HEE! It has been interesting that asses has also been a bit of a target as well from time to time…as she is accused of being other posters of which it is obvious that she is not. I was very interested in opening a blog…and will in the future. I KNOW that you all can’t wait…LOL! However, as I started to imbark on that plan, I had problems with family members who needed me. I decided to resign my position to someone that has done a killer job. I happen to know “OF” the person that owns the blog…but, have never met the person nor ever intend on intruding in confidential rights of anyone that has a blog. When people have HATE blogs, bash Taylor and everyone else…constantly discuss ME and others that I care for…then, I do have an interest in who they are…just so that I don’t ever go near them…just so I can stay as far away from those lunatics as possible. I choose not to mingle with those that digust me. Free country. If Jeanni owned a blog…it would rock. Maybe one day…and if she does…none of anyone’s business. Quit F’ing obsessing. It does get old.
I have been hanging out here on Asses blog for quite sometime…and enjoy her topics and humor or I would not be here. I did not like it when she was bashed either…because she has always shown respect for Taylor. I trust her. I don’t trust just anyone. My motive for being out here in internet land is to express my fanship for Taylor Hicks. He is awesome and is going to continue to rock the world with whatever he chooses to do. I have been a supporter of him from the get-go. People that bash me, usually don’t care for Taylor…and have a motive against those that agree with me. FACT! He has never let me down. He isn’t going to let me down. I have no reason to want to control his future. Had I fallen into the debths that some have, in trying to mold him into their fantasy man, then I guess I could have been dissapointed…but, that AIN’T happening. I am just sitting back enjoying all that he does…and it is always suprising and exciting to wait and see what is next. I don’t have unrealistic expectations…I am a die hard fan, like it? or not! 🙂

Not really Rosie, until recently she has been on many boards saying all kinds of nice things. Well, on her main board she would slip in the occasional snide remark and make it clear she didn’t like his album. It was important that everyone know that , regularly, for some reason. Henry, Since nothing was going on over here last night and I was all fired up, I went back over to post some more. I kept thinking of Tay telling the Gypsy Sun band to “work it out, work it out.” Due to the fact the blog topic was about all opinions welcome, well I felt entitled. By the time I got back there was some positive Tay speak. Most of us worked it out. I think a lot of the problems stem from how much a fan one is and the glass half empty or full of one’s personality. In reality a lot of his best fans were worried about his future by last spring. At least I was. They do have a snarky sense of humor and the non fans enjoy the put downs. There are some good people over there. Well good people are everywhere. It was the nonsense about him not increasing Grease sales that almost put me over the edge. Facts are facts. The big fans enjoy seeing him do everything and the others, well not so much shall we say.

Let me help you out with this. The people on that site are not Taylor Hicks fans this is the reason that Dah and DD are over there. It is not a place for people who like Taylor. They actually prefer Taylor haters over there, the people who enjoy Taylor and are pleased with him don’t get a very welcome reception. The reason they aren’t happy with the good Taylor news is because they don’t want any good news, they prefer to think Taylor is suffering and cursing the day he didn’t do what they wanted him to do. To hang out there is to be among HATERS of Taylor Hicks. No one is over there making fun of Chris, as far as I’ve seen no one has been anywhere making fun of Chris in some time yet the chrolls are over there making snarky remarks about Taylor along with the so called fans over there. FYI Taylor and Chris fans are getting along well these days with the exception of a few (I’m sure you realize I’m talking about the ones on the Orphan site). There is an entire forum where they Chris and Taylor fans are getting to know each other and getting along very well. As far as the posters of the orphans site and the chrolls being friends my opinion on this is GREAT, I honestly couldn’t be happier, keep them all conained in one pen where they can roll in the mud together. 🙂

I had heard somewhere that the Chris and Taylor fans had a board. Apparently, there is no bashing of either contestant and it is very civil. Why don’t the so called “peace makers” on the orphans site post there? I have not heard of anyone having a problem with the peace board in Taylorland- not sure about the fans of Daughtry. I am sure, like me, most don’t give a shit and are relieved. Yet, we are so jealous of the love fest between DAH/HW/Bluz/Morph etc. It really makes no sense.

Benedict, She posted as Moonbat. I got in some Taylor debates with her when she was moonbat and I had never heard of Bluzkat. I have not been doing this very long and so all the past history and fans wars meant nothing to me. I just want to be a fan and discuss Taylor. Just can not stand all the dredging up of who did or said what or who are the best fans and who are the bad guys. I don’t mind a decent debate and so I also post over Morphs as do some other fans. As for others, I do understand words were exchanged in the past two years and some have developed enemies. I completely understand it but I just don’t wish to engage in it if at all possable.

Esmarelda. Feb. 3-8 he is in Balto. The show is here until Feb.15th. On the 9th he begins a 15 day break from Grease, Hopefully to promote his new CD. The tickets don’t go on sale until Nov. something so we have’t picked a date yet. Think I will see it twice as a secret Santa group know that is what I want. I saw him on Broadway and he was fantastic. It would be nice to catch his Sunday the 8th show as that will be his last before his break and 2 days before his CD release, and he may mention it.

Benedict and Rosie–I was not on any boards until after Season 5 had ended but people who were there tell me that Bluzkat was on the AI boards at that time.
And she has posted as feline frenzy on TOSP for quite awhile. Those are her main names. And she said she was moonbat.
And I wish someone on orphans would explain to me why insults to Taylor are fine but insults to Chris are not fine. Whats the difference?
I have no desire to insult Chris, but I can’t help but wonder why that would be frowned on when it just called being real when you insult Taylor. Don’t see how you justify that.
They are winding up with all the rejects from other boards on orphans. Guess that turned out to be a real good name for them.

This is the only place where Sunny/Spin has come (where I do) to argue and accuse and belittle me. She’s posted all over the Internet about ME and CBB. She professes to nothing, but that’s not true. I only answer her when I have to and I did. For the record, I thought I would give her the chance to make amends, it didn’t work. I’ve asked her to stop what she does MANY times, you can check the archives right here. My apology if that annoys you, it sure as hell does me.
I can’t speak for CBB, but I think she would agree with me.

Chill, 🙂 it’s all too easy to forget that the people behind computers are real people. I think that’s why the BK witch hunt stuff rubbed me the wrong way. I felt bad for her. Guess that’s because I didn’t forget that she was a human being.
I’m not really sure what these wars are about anyway. They seem so pointless since they don’t accomplish anything. I realize that all of these blogs, including yours, started because of the mfoya blog. Thing is, war only happens when two sides are fighting. I firmly believe if mfoya was left to be, there would have been no war. I think the outrage and controversy made them much stronger. I often imagine what would have been if it was all left alone. I think it would have been better. I think the same goes for all the blogs that push peoples buttons.
Esmarelda wrote something to Rosie about choosing a side. What some forget is that not being on a side is also an option. That’s where I stand. It’s a middle ground and a few people on this blog seem to be on that same middle ground.

I was like rosie, and had no knowledge of any of these truly ardent fanatics who want to reach out through the keyboards and grab you. I wandered into MFOYA during a phase in which a certain writer was doing some funny, snarky posts. I posted some comments, in return and the gals at other blogs read them, followed my link to IDOL BLUES and went at me. You see, I was something they could target and so they did. I retaliated. I have personally talked to Jeanni and CBB and I have to tell you that I found them to be sweet, real, and caring women. I think they have gotten a bad rap for such a long time. I don’t speak for them, but in my opinion, it’s hard to get out of battle mode when you’re attacked so often.

Even though you requested the above, its not stopped. I’ve been a member here for quite some time now. I don’t post on but a few blogs that center around Taylor Hicks. I’ve felt very comfortable here till now. Plainly, there are several posters here who have joined as a twosome to interrogate, insult and bait me into answering the constant accusations. I’ve patiently told them the truth, they don’t nor want accept it, because in my opinion, thats why they came here.
I’ve noticed other posters are not interogated and insulted like myself and Cbb nor are they told to stop it. I’ve asked them to drop it, to move on, it’s done no good at all, I didn’t really think it would, because of who they are and in particuliar, what they’ve tried to do on other blogs on the Internet. It’s been very unsettling and inappropriate.
So having said that, up until now, I’ve enjoyed your blog for as long as it’s existed. Its a shame when those who apparently have an agenda are allowed to continue with their repetitive slander. Thanks for the opportunity in the past, to enjoy discussions on Taylor Hicks and the friendships I’ve developed here. My best to you and those who are sincere Taylor Hicks fans who are well versed in this type of situation. Thanks.

It bothers me that some people cannot see the difference it poking a little fun at someone they love and admire and ripping someone to shreads.
After it turned into what it was I remember reading at mf until I could see Taylors bones , picked clean, laying on that damn beach.
There was no making fun involved. It was vicious.
It is diffucult for me not to step in when someone is unfairly attacked. Although I am getting better at it.

*Handing Jeanni a tissue* You see, esme, you prefer some folks go ‘live on an island’. You like the ‘battle’ as I’ve read it referred to…ha. So does your friend. In Spanish there’s a phrase a friend of mine uses often, ‘todos se pago’. Literal translation means, ‘full payment’. What the phrase really intends in the usage, ‘what goes around comes around’.
Miss Jeanni enjoys her name calling, doling out the disrespect to other folks but she just can’t handle the same treatment. She’s apparently just very special. I guess I could just apologize to her for having the ‘dadgum’ gumption to even think of doing anything when she’s around but curl in a corner. lol
Seriously, no one insulted her; she just sort of went into some kind of strange meltdown unnecessarily. There was no reason for any of that ‘dramady’. She was who mentioned bringing back the old garbage – read her post – she threatened to haul out copy-pastes and whatever ‘evidence’ she has stored in her ‘files’. For what purpose for Heaven’s sake? Where is the logic?
To rehash one moment from this thread, Jeanni volunteered to email me, I said, OK, told her where to find my contact since she claims to never go to my blog. 😉 Then she reverses her stance, goes polar opposite and ridicules that idea. It’s like hanging out with that Dr. Doolittle animal.
Only Jeanni can stop the flakes from falling around her, she just selects to have them keep falling, she likes it apparently. *shrugs*
Anyone have any idea who/what the “dragon” part added to my name with YASM’s up there? No matter.

I did try to post over there a couple times but my posts never made it out of moderation, so everyone’s voice wasn’t heard on mfoya, mine wasn’t. The voices that were heard were the ones that agreed with that whole ridiculous story and were ready to tear Caroline and Taylor to shreds.
Also I hardly ever went there to read but the times I did I was sickened by the comments and blogs there. I have no desire to ever try to understand them or make nice with them. I would have nothing to do with people like that in real life and I see no point on the internet either.
Henry I agree with what you said. There’s a difference between poking a little fun at someone with love and ripping them to shreds like they did to CL and Taylor.

I just know from my line of work, that if you create a blog based on lies and slander the accused and the press gets a hold of it and publishes the stories and brings in people to discuss photos and the accused are innocent, someone gets in big trouble. The mfoya blogger never seemed to be afraid of that. That tells me they probably knew what they were doing and were not completely full of hot air. Do I believe mfoya? Not every single word, but I’d be in denial to not believe some of it when it was obvious stuff and what seemed like inside stuff. The Claymates didn’t believe that Clay was gay, even though his lover took a lie detector test and passed. I do not want to be that person.
I did not take real offense to the mfoya site. It was vicious at times, but I got that feeling mainly from some of the posters. The blogger didn’t seem “vicious” to me. Maybe that’s just me, but I am not bothered by negative press either. But Taylor should have done something about it. But if it was true he could not do anything about it. That is the only way I can understand him not doing anything about it. I actually think that Orphans site is much meaner and much more vicious to Taylor and his career than the mfoya site ever was.

I can’t tell you why Taylor chose not to go after them, maybe it wasn’t worth the money or he didn’t want his private life delved into. I can’t speak for him but those are just a couple of reasons I could come up with. My favorite line from Taylor “I’ve got a plane to catch”. Maybe he just really doesn’t care what people say about him. He said he believes in the walk and not the talk. I’ve got to really admire that guy.

YASM, MFOYA was working a tale and publishing a story. Gave RADAR a boost as it was relatively newly returned to the internet; Hicks story brought a lot of attention for them. YASM, the aggression drew the attention, drew the hits to the site to the story. Made it more viable for RADAR to utilize it. If you catch my drift. 😉

I never thought mfoya was a woman always thought it was a man and a few woman that also posted with him. You could tell the different writing styles. When mfoya posted it was always a direct hit and nasty, the others weren’t too far behind but I always felt there were 2 woman and 1 man running the show over there. Always felt it was a personal vendetta not so much a romantic get back.
I also always felt Taylor did the right thing by not ackowledging what was going on there, it showed he had character that it wasn’t worth his energy he had better things to do then try to defend himself against that, saying nothing said alot to me. I never saw two woman on the beach only one with alot of photshopping going on.

Spin, I catch your drift. I think some should take some responsibility in the final outcome. If no one cared, Radar wouldn’t have cared either.
I have no idea who was behind MFOYA or how it started. I’ve read rumors and heard stories. But females do tend to write emotionally. haha! That’s the only reason I don’t think it was a woman. But I don’t think it was AR either. Not a chance.
Jersey, I do not think there was any photoshopping going on. Here’s why: I’m not a professional but I know you can’t photoshop very large photos without it being terribly obvious and there is a way to prove if a photograph has been photoshopped by dismantling it. The magazine also said there was no photoshopping going on. A photo editor would be able to tell the difference since that’s their line of work.
I will never understand why Taylor would not put an end to it if it was all lies. Even if to just protect his lady. Sorry, I don’t accept that at all. I don’t think it shows someone of character to allow your love to be slammed that way if it was all just farce? Just can’t swallow that one.

I did not think it was and told MFOYA that much. Then that Lois Gibson came into the mix. Well, for the long and short of it, I never cared really either way. I was mainly fascinated by the process of the characters running the blog and the reactions from the fans. Some are still quite rattled about it.
Yes, deleting the posts after a response makes a mess. Should have the blog protected when a new email comes through they are put in hold until approved. That would save a lot of problems. It’s what I do.
Oh Jeanni, I hate to break up like this. It’s so sudden. Just when I thought we had a future together.

Yall, the reason I say he was better off not saying anything is I know first hand how horrible people can be. My husband is in local politics and unseated a 4 term mayor who did not want to leave office. He has trashed us and others who ran with my husband throughout our town. At first my husband tried to defend us/himself against the attacks, you know what it just gave him more fuel for his fire. We now do not ackonwledge anything the man says, and people are pretty much calling him the town nut. So ignoring things said that aren’t true sometimes do work to your advantage, people are angry at this man for the untrue things he has said and have a whole lot of respect for my husband and our family. Thats all I wanted to say.

You’re definitely free to talk about what you just posted and I agree 100% with you. Sometimes, it’s better just to keep quiet, because people can twist and turn what you say and just amp up the situation even more. Sometimes silence should be the only response.

I don’t mean to say just on your blog Asses, but on other blogs aimed toward bashing.
As everyone knows, I’m a fan who enjoys Taylor and what he’s accomplished in his career. I don’t post on blogs run by MFOYA’s orphans. I find that blog totally disrespectful to Taylor and his fanbase. I don’t like the nastiness of it nor the bonified Taylor haters who post there. Any (normal) Taylor Hicks fan would be extremely uncomfortable there, myself included.
Thanks for the opportunity to write to you. Having said that, I hope you understand my feelings about this, I don’t think you realize exactly what happened several months ago nor the danger it posed to me personally. I’ve been advised to be very cautious and alert regarding certain people and that’s what I’m doing. Apparently, freedom of speech has taken on a new set of rules, I don’t enjoy it when it’s aimed directly at me from several of whom are hypocrites and of whom have traditionally distorted the truth. I think he knows that many would freak out. It was amazing that so many Clay fans did not know he was gay, and even more shocking to me that they find Clay handsome and sexy. I think he lost some fans when he came out because they knew they didn’t have a chance with him. It is just very sad that Tay has to travel with B.W., when he should be with some woman.

Taylor was wise never to say anything. To acknowledge that insanity would only have helped to legitamize it and draw it to the attention of many people who never knew anything about it.
Very few people to this day other then the fans who follow Taylor very closely know anything about it and if they did they would die laughing IMO.
If I did not follow Taylor closely on the internet I would never even have seen the radar or the aol report. Why else would anyone be looking at it?
After a time , her goal was to get someone to publish her crap and make her seem important, cause that was number one priority, being proven right and being important. I know SOME of what she went through trying to get someone to publish it. She was determined , I will give her that.
I told her the story would just be to make fun of the fans who were writing about it and thats exactly what the first story was. And then came Ms. Gibson. I have a therory on how she came to be involved but I will never share it. Its just a therory. Sort of.

Henry, You are so right that only the folks that use the intenet to follow Taylor know aboout the whole CL thing. People in general that I talk to about Taylor just remember him as the gray haired guy that won idol, had a nice voice and unique style.

And thats just it Y’all it was just the fans that followed very closely talking to each other. But if Taylor had spoke the press might have very well picked up on it and it would have been everywhere. Since it seemed like total insanity anyway it was best that he ignore it.
It would have been like he was addressing something that was not anyones business. It would have seemed crazy I think.

I wanted to clear up my previous post. I was having a wierd typing moment.:) I didn’t intend for it to sound as if I thought your blog or bloggers had a problem with him having a girlfriend or anybody that posts here (asses). The blogs I mentioned were created because of MFOYA who ,obviously, felt the need to talk nonstop about the girlfriend and her earlobes. I won’t even go into to those strange height measurements – lines drawn cockeyed all over the place.
The girlfriend has caused majjjjjjjjor drama. Starting with MFOYA and trickling down to now. People are constantly claiming they are stalked and threatned. I have even read that one person wants to sue over a picture of a cat in jail…

On the AI boards there was a major meltdown over a blond he was seen with. People convinced themselves she was an employee. Haha!

Yeah Benedict there’s always been so much denial. It’s scary. I always thought the meltdowns were seriously funny. I’m starting to think these fan wars are really funny too. Maybe it’s just my mood today. All sides are claiming they are being terrorized and stalked by one another. While one stalker is stalking the other stalker is stalking too. Haha! They should get into the stalkers ring and duke it out. Hehe. It’s so ridiculous.

Like Henry said if he had ackowledged I think it would have made it to the open press and they would have had a field day with it, I beleive he did the right thing by not commenting on the whole situation.

Initially to me, the whole girlfriend thing seemed so strange and unnecessary. When I first encountered the story, I was skimming the AI Boards. I could not believe how many women who did not know Taylor at all could be so angry and upset that he was dating someone.
Then there was that Splash article and pics – that wound up becoming some sort of altered universe. Watching the drama unfold, the fan wars that broke out – the animosity toward folks perceived to be enemies of Mr. Hicks; this type of behavior seems to be tied to being one of the anomalies of the A.I. fans.
YASM do you think the whole “stalker” (*clink*, one more penny for your pot) issue running haphazardly with some of the fans developed from the CL situation with Hicks or was it happening prior to that? Most of the folks on the boards now seem to know each other from waaay back. lol

Rosie, It is probably true that some would bother Taylor’s ex to try and get info on him. The band and Bill that goes without saying, Taylor is not the only musician that fans try to get in with friends and band memembers to get closer to the source. Wish folks would just step back and enjoy him for the enterainer he is and stop trying to catch his every move. When he is out in a public place that is different but not to follow all he does and try to be a part of it, is just wrong. He is entitled to his down time just like everyone else. The whole beach thing was a smear campaign/personal vendetta against Taylor which I felt was totally wrong, it is none of anyones business what and who chooses to be with, it was an invasion of his privacy. I can understand why he has not been seen out in public with another woman after that experience.

Spin, I’m not sure. I think that there is a group of really rabid AI fans that do cause trouble. I don’t keep up with them much but have noticed them around. I guess at first their war was with the CD fans… then somehow they have focused their attentions on the Orphans and Bluzkat, maybe because they are chummy with the CD fans? Yes, YASM it’s something in the television rays sent out by the producers of the show to hook and hypnotize the viewers. Seems to do some sort of DNA damage. Turns them into some sort of Idol chasing zombies. raawwrr!!!
